Cathedral of Puno

As in all places, near its Central Square is the Cathedral, in the Baroque style, built in 1669 and remodeled in 1757 by Silvestre Valdez.

The Balcony of Count Lemos Puno

This balcony or colonial house was the house where one of the most important Viceroy of the year 1667, Count of Lemos, stayed, who was in the city of Puno to restore some conflicts that Gaspar and José Salcedo had, who extracted silver from the first mining companies founded for them.

El Balcón, specifically, is one of the oldest and most preserved buildings to be recognized as a Cultural Heritage of the Nation in 1974.
